Confessions!

 

Where to begin? The “Confessions” thing in the latest VFU By Night is based on a real website where people ostensibly post about their experiences. You don't want to hear the convoluted story of how I learned about and then got obsessed with this site, so instead, a big, broad version: I didn’t get to grow up in the 90s, and I didn’t get to experience the early internet, but the history of some of this stuff fascinates me. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that horny stuff relating this subject is doubly good at pulling me in.

The site itself is a complicated subject, and while I would never defend it against some of the legitimate questions that could be raised about it, it hits all the right notes for sucking me in. That’s why it’s the basis/template for Confessions, which will get renamed at some point. It’s not a parody of the website exactly, although I may poke fun at some patterns that I’ve noticed when reading posts on there. 

Furthermore, I think Confessions is what I actually wanted to do when I started Alone Time, and I just didn’t realize it. But Alone Time fills a different role, so we’ll keep them both going.

Anyway! First: Confessions is not subject to canon, time, or space. In fact, I want to emphasize non-canon stuff in there. It’s the perfect place for the kind of dirty little things that we wouldn’t normally have in the mainline stories. I don’t want it to be total anarchy in terms of continuity. So, the usernames may change if someone is posting from a different time period. It’s pretty obvious that Soccergrill69 is Riley Jameson, but let's note that’s college Riley. If 30+, married pit crew Riley posts something, she will do it under a different name. This can indicate that she comes from an AU, or it might just mean that she forgot her login after several years and re-registered a new account. Two different usernames might be the same poster posting from different eras or universes. I originally wanted to timestamp the posts, but that would require a level of patience and planning that isn't realistic right now.

Second: while most of the posters will be easy to identify, some of them may not be. I’m not putting new/unseen characters in confessions, so anyone posting there is someone who has appeared in a mainstream VFU story like GB1996 or FF1. I know I’ll be kicking myself over the usernames when I give them one and then think of a way better one later. I’m emotionally prepared for that, and I ask for your forgiveness if I miss opportunities for hilariously perfect names. I’m also finding my way with representing different characters having different ‘writing’ voices. Be patient with me.

Third: VFU By Night is a Patreon exclusive, of course, but Confessions won’t be. I love it too much to keep it locked away, so they will show up on CHYOA over time when the main story is paused for a vote, but the Twine version is going to be way ahead and superior because it’ll get updated much more and will have an extra feature: user profiles. I’m going to make it so you can click the username and see the profile, which will link to all stories posted by that profile. The profiles might also have some extra stuff on them, and we may even have users posting comments on other users’ profiles. Flirting? Feuding? I don’t know. We’ll see. The characters may even start posting comments on the stories themselves. 

Fourth: I don’t have a 5-dimensional chess plan to tell an elaborate epic story through these posts, but you are going to see them connect to each other. You may see the same encounter posted by both participants; you may see one thing leading to another; you may learn that some of these narrators aren’t the most reliable, and so forth. There’s a lot of potential, and some narratives and indirect storytelling will happen for sure. Also expect some deep VFU lore building. A story about X cheating on Y with Z might not be canon, but other personal details sprinkled in there probably are.

Fifth! We will have a whole male side to this, but I don’t want to post stories from male characters until you’ve met those male characters. So, I’m going to jumpstart that this weekend and actually break ground on some of that. But bottom line, we’ll be having mainly stories from women and futas for now. And don’t worry, when the time comes, men will have their own section that you’re free to ignore if that’s not what you’re there for.

I think that’s all. As you can tell, I’m super excited about this one, and you can safely expect every new version of VFU By Night to have something new in Confessions. Because part of the game is figuring out who is posting what, I’m not taking requests for characters—but I am taking requests for content/kinks/dynamics, and that’s not limited to Patrons. I’ll figure out who is doing it and with whom, but what kind of dirty stuff do you feel doesn’t come up enough in the main stories? Most ‘big’ VFU stories are intended for a sort of general audience, so they don’t get too specific or dwell on kinky stuff, but Confessions posts are perfect for getting specific, and due to the premise, the more scandalous the better. It's free fire for cheating and types of perviness that we don't usually feature. DM me if the idea is too spicy for comments. I won't tell! It can't be ALL stories about girls folding and cheating with Adella. 

And as usual, thank you for your support and for putting up with my shenanigans. I think Confessions will enable a level of shenanigans never before seen in the VFU.
