  Where to begin? The “Confessions” thing in the latest VFU By Night is based on a real website where people ostensibly post about their experiences. You don't want to hear the convoluted story of how I learned about and then got obsessed with this site, so instead, a big, broad version: I didn’t get to grow up in the 90s, and I didn’t get to experience the early internet, but the history of some of this stuff fascinates me. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that horny stuff relating this subject is doubly good at pulling me in. The site itself is a complicated subject, and while I would never defend it against some of the legitimate questions that could be raised about it, it hits all the right notes for sucking me in. FF1 is ending for real, sort of. I believe 399 is the final chapter, and then there are, I think, 6-7 epilogue chapters, and that’s it. Right at this moment, I’m just assuming that there will be more FF1 . A time jump? A new MC? New team? Or my personal favorite, an MC who isn’t a driver? I don’t know. Lots of ideas, lots of polls for some point in the future. And titles! FF1: 2 Futa, 2 Furious. FF1: Irina Strikes Back. FF1: 2? But after 400+ chapters, it’s time to tie it up and at least let it rest a little. Funny story. Remember how I adjusted HS to make it legit with the whole step-thing? Turns out that’s still not legit. I read the Patreon community guidelines, and if I’m reading that right, even step is not OK. They didn’t seem to notice when they approved my page, but it doesn’t matter—I’m not gonna knowingly break a rule. So I removed HS from the Patreon, and now that I know the rules, I can adjust it again to make it legit. That’s no problem to do, but it will take some time because not only do I need to fix it, but I have to put the edited text back into Twine.  On the bright side, the adjusted version will make room for an additional new lewd scene that I think people will like. First, and most importantly, my mission abroad to look at old-timey porn was a modest success , and I took some pictures that I will post here to show how committed I am to honing lewdcraft. First, HS/Thrill of the Hunt will continue normally through its planned endpoint. We aren’t making any changes to the weekly formula as you know it. But we are going to try HS as a Twine story, which means a whole bunch of things. First, it has to be modified to remove blood relations from the lewdness. This isn’t as radical a change as it sounds like, and it’s simple enough—Lady Charlotte and her daughters are Raf’s stepmother and stepsisters. No big deal. As far as the chapters being posted on CHYOA, for THRILL everything stays as is. For the Twine version, it’ll be the modified Step-Version, and the narrative is adjusted to accommodate it. Surprising no one, it works better that way. Part 1, A DIPLOMATIC MISSION, will get some edits and upgrades and a little extra content. Among the writing sins that I have committed with voting stories has been an unnecessary level of opacity on top of story structure that doesn't suit eroticism and other trappings that make it more difficult for a work to function as smut.  The OG SSS is always going to be the first example of this. One of the issues with that story was that I saw it one way and readers saw it another, and I kept expecting readers to adapt to the story when I needed to adapt the story to them*. From my perspective, as someone who’s basically obsessed with the horror genre and old timey slasher films, to me it was perfectly natural that lots of girls would get killed off. But readers saw the body count as failure on their part, and then there was the problem that while eroticism and bloodshed are often mixed to one degree or another in slasher movies—slasher movies are not smut.
