House Semya Update Jan 2026

First, HS/Thrill of the Hunt will continue normally through its planned endpoint. We aren’t making any changes to the weekly formula as you know it.

But we are going to try HS as a Twine story, which means a whole bunch of things. First, it has to be modified to remove blood relations from the lewdness. This isn’t as radical a change as it sounds like, and it’s simple enough—Lady Charlotte and her daughters are Raf’s stepmother and stepsisters. No big deal. As far as the chapters being posted on CHYOA, for THRILL everything stays as is. For the Twine version, it’ll be the modified Step-Version, and the narrative is adjusted to accommodate it. Surprising no one, it works better that way.

Part 1, A DIPLOMATIC MISSION, will get some edits and upgrades and a little extra content. That will be released as a Twine story, and it’ll be available Day 1 when the Patreon goes live. It will end up as a free demo on itch eventually if you don’t want to do Patreon.

Meanwhile, I’m hoping to finish writing THRILL—with expanded lewd scenes, probably nothing groundbreaking, but a little at least—and get that added to the HS Twine. That’ll go straight onto Patreon when it’s ready, which given the slow pace of the Friday chapters, will probably be well ahead of CHYOA, and you’d get to read it more like a proper novella.

Then Part 3, because at the very least a small Part 3 is planned, will be written from the ground up to take advantage of Twine and be a little more interactive (still linear in terms of story, just more fiddly bits and potential lewd options I expect)—and that’ll get added to the Twine version when it’s ready. Some version of it will get posted on CHYOA eventually, but that’ll be way behind the Patreon version and won’t have any options because let’s be real, doing lots of options with CHYOA is contextually easy, but still a pain compared to Twine. So again, if you don’t want to do Patreon, you can still find out what happens if you don't mind waiting. 

If people are enjoying HS and this is working, of course we’ll continue it. One thing that we’ll look at is how much the options/Twine stuff adds to the experience. If it’s a lot, we stick with it. If people enjoy the story but don’t feel like the Twine element helps it significantly, then we can switch over to just writing a linear story, which would mean more frequent updates. But that’s something that we look at later.

I considered a "Bisexual Edition" of the HS Twine with more emphasis on the male cast and some scenes of a certain MMF/MM flavor added, but I'm not sure there's a big audience for that. I will however be doing a full-on yaoi thing in the HS world with the HS characters that will debut on Patreon as a separate Twine story, at least part of which will end up on CHYOA in the hopes of luring people to the Patreon. Yes. Honesty. But that's still a ways off. I intend to eventually do something MMF/Bi themed, but I'm thinking we do that set in modern times in Gurlberg--but if you have a strong opinion about this or there's secretly a legion of silent readers out there who want to see Rafail and Kesner working as a team with the fantasy ladies, definitely let me know. Nothing's set in stone.
