Mistakes were made!

Funny story. Remember how I adjusted HS to make it legit with the whole step-thing? Turns out that’s still not legit. I read the Patreon community guidelines, and if I’m reading that right, even step is not OK. They didn’t seem to notice when they approved my page, but it doesn’t matter—I’m not gonna knowingly break a rule. So I removed HS from the Patreon, and now that I know the rules, I can adjust it again to make it legit. That’s no problem to do, but it will take some time because not only do I need to fix it, but I have to put the edited text back into Twine. 

On the bright side, the adjusted version will make room for an additional new lewd scene that I think people will like. So just kidding! HS Twine Edition is most certainly NOT ready for Patreon. So I understand if people want to hold off on joining up with all these Twine promises still sight unseen. But the Patreon exists and has two PDFs and a poll on it. Man I'm getting a lot of mileage out of saying "Thanks for being patient" 

The funny thing is that even though the family tag has never been my thing, the second I learn that Patreon won’t let me do step stuff, I suddenly have all these ideas. I guess they can still go on CHYOA, right? I was really thinking about doing something interactive with a new futa protagonist with Riley and Kayla as the step-siblings to a new MC, like… you know, seeing them from a different POV or something.

  Messiness: FF1 is getting toward the Italian Grand Prix. We are entering the final section of the story, but at the rate I’m going, it’s not coming anytime soon. I’ve put a lot of thought, way more thought than is healthy for an e-smut hobby, into what comes next, but since that’s probably a year away, we can worry about that later. For now, FF1 continues as usual. SS: TIE is, in my opinion, going well. The latest in well-reasoned, meticulously planned things that are definitely not tone deaf and impulsive! In addition to taking commissions, I had two projects planned for this summer: FSCR and some kind of trappy crossdressy yaoi thing. House Semya

There’s a lot to unpack here. My last blog post talked about why we went with family values as the theme for House Semya, now let’s talk about the rest. I had three mostly separate challenges with this story: how go about telling a fantasy story and how to do a family story and have them at least mostly succeed at being kind of sexy. On fantasy, I thought about my own experiences reading fantasy novels and things I’ve read about other people reading them. I looked at some of the eroticism in things like Game of Thrones, and observed how even old-timey fantasy was massively horny. I concluded that from my perspective, the most attractive fantasy smut wasn’t smut at all. It was “legit” storytelling that happened to include a larger amount of horniness.
